Santo Domingo.
El Virus de Inmunodeficiencia Humana (VIH), el cual puede causar el SIDA, afecta a 38 millones de personas a nivel mundial seg\u00fan datos del Programa Conjunto de las Naciones Unidas sobre el VIH\/Sida (ONUSIDA).
Se estima que en RD hay m\u00e1s de 72,000 personas con VIH, pero no todos saben que viven con esta condici\u00f3n, sino que solo el 82% conoce su estatus.
El dato fue dado a conocer por El Centro de Orientaci\u00f3n e Investigaci\u00f3n Integral (COIN), a la vez de informar que por ese motivo, a nivel mundial, del 21 al 28 de noviembre de 2022 se est\u00e1 promoviendo la realizaci\u00f3n de pruebas de VIH entre toda la poblaci\u00f3n.
\u201cHacerse la prueba de VIH es la \u00fanica manera de saber si est\u00e1s infectado, y el primer paso para poder iniciar el tratamiento y mantenerte saludable\u201d, expone el comunicado de prensa.
La infecci\u00f3n por HIV puede afectar a cualquier persona sexualmente activa o cualquier beb\u00e9 nacido de una madre infectada por VIH si no se tienen las medidas preventivas de lugar.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
