El presidente del Consejo Directivo del\u00a0Instituto Dominicano de las Telecomunicaciones (INDOTEL),\u00a0Guido G\u00f3mez Mazara, advirti\u00f3 sobre el creciente nivel de manipulaci\u00f3n de contenidos en las redes sociales, planteando la necesidad de una legislaci\u00f3n que garantice el derecho de los ciudadanos a recibir informaci\u00f3n veraz.<\/p>\n
Durante un encuentro con la prensa realizado en el\u00a0Sal\u00f3n Orlando Jorge Mera, G\u00f3mez Mazara present\u00f3 resultados de un estudio que revela que el\u00a057 % de las noticias falsas\u00a0se difunden a trav\u00e9s de las redes sociales, seguidas por la televisi\u00f3n con un\u00a034 %\u00a0y los medios impresos o digitales con un\u00a018 %.<\/p>\n
Herramientas de verificaci\u00f3n<\/div>\n
El funcionario alert\u00f3 adem\u00e1s sobre el uso de\u00a0cuentas inactivas reactivadas\u00a0para publicar de manera coordinada m\u00e1s de\u00a0186 mensajes diarios, lo que evidencia la existencia de\u00a0granjas de bots\u00a0dedicadas a distorsionar la realidad informativa y manipular la opini\u00f3n p\u00fablica.<\/p>\n
Ante esa situaci\u00f3n, INDOTEL impulsar\u00e1 una\u00a0reforma integral de la Ley General de Telecomunicaciones No. 153-98, promulgada en 1998, con el prop\u00f3sito de actualizarla a las exigencias del entorno digital actual. Se prev\u00e9 la inclusi\u00f3n de disposiciones relacionadas con la\u00a0educaci\u00f3n digital, la responsabilidad informativa y la protecci\u00f3n de la veracidad, sin limitar los derechos fundamentales de los usuarios.<\/p>\n
