Las muertes por c\u00e1ncer colorrectal en adultos j\u00f3venes de Estados Unidos est\u00e1n en aumento, principalmente entre las personas\u00a0con menor nivel educativo<\/strong>, lo que sugiere que los factores socioecon\u00f3micos podr\u00edan impulsar esta tendencia, seg\u00fan un nuevo\u00a0estudio\u00a0publicado en la revista JAMA Oncology.<\/p>\n

Los investigadores de la Sociedad Americana del C\u00e1ncer analizaron los datos de\u00a0m\u00e1s de 101.000 personas<\/strong>\u00a0de entre 25 y 49 a\u00f1os que fallecieron por esta enfermedad entre 1994 y 2023, y observaron un\u00a0incremento<\/strong>\u00a0general en la tasa de mortalidad.<\/p>\n

Incremento casi exclusivo<\/h3>\n

En\u00a0el periodo estudiado, la tasa anual de muertes por c\u00e1ncer colorrectal en ese grupo\u00a0et\u00e1rio\u00a0pas\u00f3 aproximadamente de 3 a 4 por cada 100.000 personas. Sin embargo, entre quienes solo contaban con estudios secundarios, el\u00a0aumento fue de 4 a 5,2<\/strong>\u00a0por cada 100.000, mientras que en aquellos\u00a0que ten\u00edan al menos un t\u00edtulo universitario\u00a0se mantuvo estable en 2,7.
