La provincia de Montecristi celebra un \u00abjonr\u00f3n\u00bb por todo lo alto. Con el objetivo de descubrir y pulir el talento de los m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os, la\u00a0Fundaci\u00f3n Boomstick23, dirigida por el pelotero\u00a0Nelson Cruz, inaugur\u00f3 oficialmente el programa\u00a0RBI\u00a0en esta localidad. Esta iniciativa de la Major League Baseball (MLB) llega por primera vez a esta zona del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n

El torneo re\u00fane a m\u00e1s de\u00a090 ni\u00f1os, con edades comprendidas entre los 10 y 11 a\u00f1os, quienes est\u00e1n organizados en seis ligas locales. M\u00e1s all\u00e1 de ganar juegos, este proyecto busca que los jovencitos aprendan valores fundamentales como la disciplina, el trabajo en equipo y la responsabilidad, utilizando el deporte como una herramienta para fomentar buenos h\u00e1bitos.<\/p>\n

La actividad tuvo lugar en la\u00a0Logia Newman, donde se dieron cita padres, entrenadores y autoridades locales.<\/p>\n

Durante el evento, se resalt\u00f3 el esfuerzo de Nelson Cruz y su fundaci\u00f3n por devolver a su pueblo parte de lo que el b\u00e9isbol le ha brindado, creando oportunidades para los ni\u00f1os.<\/p>\n

El evento est\u00e1 dedicado al exreceptor dominicano\u00a0Tony Pe\u00f1a, considerado un ejemplo de entrega, \u00e9tica y \u00e9xito en el b\u00e9isbol.<\/p>\n

Esta es la primera vez que un programa\u00a0RBI\u00a0se establece de forma directa en la provincia de Montecristi.
